CBCT stands for cone-beam computed tomography systems. They are a variation of traditional computer tomography (CT) systems. CBCT systems rotate around the patient, capturing data using a cone-shaped X-ray beam. The data collected by the cone-beam computed tomography systems are used to reconstruct a 3-D image of various regions of the patient’s anatomy such as the teeth, mouth, and jaw. The image is then used by the dentist for various applications such as dental implant planning, diagnosis of cavities, root canal diagnosis, and dental trauma diagnosis.
At Coleman County Dental Center, we provide accurate and thorough CBCT services to patients across Coleman, Ballinger, Brownwood, Rowena, Burkett, Cross Plains, Valera, Talpa, Novice, Winters, Santa Anna, Rockwood, TX, and the surrounding areas. CBCT is useful for various dental applications such as for diagnosing root canals & cavities, and dental implant planning. It is a non-invasive method that makes it possible for our dentist to get a clear picture of your entire dental anatomy.
